Bachelor Blog: Vegas Baby (Week 4)

First, sorry this is so late! I'm in Orlando for a trade show this week for work which is just one of two reasons I was not able to watch The Bachelor as it aired. The second reason is that there was an ISU basketball game on that was, in the words of my co-worker, "the biggest game of the year". In case you're wondering ISU won, and it was a good game so I guess it was worthwhile. But because of this and the late hour at which I'm writing this blog, I'm going to keep this one short and sweet!

Before we start in on the dates, the beginning of the show set us up for what to expect this week. A lot of crazy Olivia. Chris Harrison announced that they would be going to Las Vegas and Olivia was legitimately the most excited I've ever seen anyone be for a Vegas trip with a bunch of girls she's not even friends with. The Mouth was out in force during that bit.

Viva Las Vegas

Date: JoJo

The first one on one of the week went to JoJo, which is great because she hasn't had a date in over a week. Ben took JoJo to the top of a building first thing to have a little champagne while they waited for their ride. It so happened that the roof top they were on was within sight of the hotel suite that the other girls were in so they got to spy on the couple a little bit. When the helicopter arrived, the wind was so strong it actually flipped the cocktail table they were standing by, which they then used to take cover and smooch behind. At that point the other girls were like "wait are we watching them kiss now?" and then walked away awkwardly. Their initial excitement for JoJo and her date disappeared in an instant.

So basically, Ben and JoJo had a pretty normal date, they talked a lot and had good conversations but the main thing to note is their insane chemistry and body language. These two are super into each other. I'm fairly confident that JoJo is top two material. I would be pretty shocked if she's not in the final.

Bachelor Talent Show

Group Date: Amanda, Jubilee, Lauren B., Caila, Haley, Emily, Olivia, Amber, Lauren H., Jennifer, Leah, Rachel

For the group date the girls had a talent show for an audience of about 1200 people. Ben really just wanted to see who handled it well and had a good time (obviously because if he was judging by real talent this competition would be over). The talents ranged from everything from river dancing (the Twins), to cello playing (Jubilee - of course Jubilee plays the cello... she's so serious), and recitation of poetry in a chicken costume (Lauren H.). But the worst of the worst was Olivia, who after determining that she had no talent dressed up in a show girl costume, popped out of a cake and danced awkwardly. Later, she "had a panic attack" over her embarrassment.

At the evening portion of the date, Caila went in for some quality one on one time. She hadn't been on a group date before so she wasn't used to having to share time but didn't want to be rude to the other girls either. She's stinkin cute. When she got her time, she "went for it" and immediately made out with Ben. Ben enjoyed that because he thought she was kind of shy before but liked that she has a "quiet confidence".

"She's like a sex panther!" - said Ben about his one-on-one time with Caila.

The group date rose went to Lauren B. (more proof that she's another front runner, she is also so cute!).

Going to the Chapel

Date: Becca

Ahead of Becca's date Ben sent her a wedding dress to wear, and then she was picked up in a pink Cadillac by an Elvis impersonator and taken to a wedding chapel. But don't get too excited, the couple didn't prematurely tie he knot. Becca and Ben performed marriage ceremonies because Ben was ordained!

These two are a pretty good fit. The date was really natural and they have a lot in common. I could see this going a long way. Basically, this week is the week of calling out the front runners (all those going in to the rose ceremony with roses from dates are totally going top 4 at least).

Twin on OneDate: Emily & Haley

Turns out the twins are from Las Vegas, and Ben is a nice guy who thought that when he finally rejected one of the two that this would be the place to do it so their sweet mom could console the loser. This two on one (aka twin on one) was sprung on the girls but was necessary at this point. Ben needed to differentiate between the girls and decide which one to try to date for real. In the end it turned out to be Emily. He was of course very nice about all of it because he's turning out to be the "Perfect Ben" that the show promoted.

Cocktail Party Notes

The cocktail party was mostly about Olivia again. She wasn't feeling good about her time with Ben this week and wanted to get back on track. She basically had been flip flopping between extreme confidence and self-doubt the whole week. Then in all her alone time with Ben she'd try to apologize and he would tell her not to apologize. This apparently was a declaration of love in Olivia's eyes. She told JoJo that she was falling in love with Ben and that he reciprocated which kind of upset JoJo. Don't worry JoJo, Olivia is batshit and making stuff up in her mind. You got this JoJo.

At the rose ceremony, Olivia got the last rose again. If the previews for next week are accurate, she might be on the way out. If not next week probably the week after. We also get to see Jubilee get even more erratic. Looking forward to that hot mess next week!

Out this week: Rachel, Amber and Haley

My front runners (same): Lauren B., JoJo, Caila, Becca, Amanda

Until next week everyone!

Bachelor Blog: Mean Girls (Week 3)

Okay kids, we're in week 3 of The Bachelor! This week started with Lauren B. and Amanda (who are apparently the only real friends in the house) talking about how Olivia is a mean girl who acts for the cameras. Does not bode well for Olivia this week. We also learned from Chris Harrison that there would be three dates, 2 one-on-ones and one group date. So let's dig in to the dates!

"The Sky is the Limit"

Date: Lauren B.

Hooray! Lauren B. gets a date! So she's been one of my favorites since week 1 but didn't get a date last week so I'm very excited that we finally get to see Ben & Lauren B. together. I think my husband summed it up when he said that Ben should just choose her now and they should make cute little babies together. So obviously Lauren is my husband's choice for the season! But he's totally right, she's cute and will more than likely be getting a hometown date at the very least!

For their date, Ben took Lauren out in a biplane. Lauren is a flight attendant so she's no stranger to flying but she was really nervous about this tiny plane with only one propeller. Once they got in the air though she completely relaxed and they had a good time. When they landed in a random field, they found a hot tub. Seriously there was a hot tub in a random field. I like that Lauren totally called it out too and was like "I don't even want to know how this got here."

Later, Ben talked to Lauren about his parents and how when his dad got sick he saw just how much his mom loved him and it made him realize what he wants. So basically that was too damn sweet. He's a freakin' catch! After talking about his family Lauren told him that she wants to meet them and then was immediately embarrassed because she didn't mean to imply that she wanted a hometown date. They spent the last part of the date with a private concert from Lucy Angel.

Overall a great first date for this couple. Ben said that it felt like how a first date with his wife would feel like. Good sign.

Winners Take All - Soccer Date

Group Date: Leah, Jami, Amber, Lace, Rachel, Shushana, Lauren H., Olivia, Emily, Haley, Jennifer, and Amanda

Before we get in to the happenings of the group date a few things were going on at the house that I want to mention. First, poor Caila got a little overwhelmed and emotional about watching other girls date Ben but eventually decided that he's worth it so she'll just have to deal. The rest of the girls obviously aren't buddies. It's not like they aren't friendly to each other, they are but generally it seems like when Ben is out with someone else all the other girls are moaning and groaning and generally whining about not being on the date. They're a whiny group. Okay now for the date.

The girls split into two teams and played soccer after being coached by Alex Morgan and Kelley O'Hara from the World Cup Champion U.S. Women's National Soccer Team. The girls were shockingly bad at soccer during the training portion but pulled it off during the game. The two girls who stood out during the game were Emily who played goalie and was making blocks like no one's business and Rachel who even after injuring herself went all in. And let me tell you Ben was all about Emily's goal blocking. He was jumping and cheering and just basically super impressed by her. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts Emily & Rachel's team lost in overtime when Amber scored the winning goal.

The winning team (Olivia, Amber, Haley, Jami, Lauren H., and Lace) got to hit up the after party with Ben. Of course, Olivia pulled him aside first (again) and the other girls were not at all pleased. It didn't help things that Olivia took Ben up to a hotel room where they stood on the balcony and she shouted down to the girls to basically flaunt her time with him. Olivia proceeds to tell Ben that the other girls are intimidated by her. During this time the other girls talk wicked smack about Olivia to each other including how ugly her toes are, the fact that her boobs look fake and that she has bad breath. Jami turns around and tells Olivia about the girls talking about her toes. This is super bizarre.

In a surprising twist, Lace wasn't super weird or crazy on this date.

And finally, after a lot of whining and complaining about not getting time with Ben, Amber sought him out and got a much needed conversation in with him. Which somehow got her the date rose.

"Love is in the Air"

Date: Jubilee

So I guess the theme of the one-on-ones this week was flight related because this one involves a helicopter. But before we get to that let's talk about how (in the words of Jami) Awko-Taco Jubliee was at the beginning of this date. First, when the other girls were out on the group date she complained at length to JoJo about how she didn't think she was Ben's type. That he had been going for a lot of perky and sweet girls and that's not how she is so she didn't think she would get the one-on-one. (PS JoJo had RBF for the majority of this conversation). But then Jubilee did get the date and she was totally shocked and excited.

Then, when she was ready and waiting for Ben she developed a super weird attitude where she was trying to be too cool for it all like it was NBD. Which rubbed the other girls the wrong way. When Ben showed up she informed him that he was 20 minutes late. Then when he took her out to see their ride (the aforementioned helicopter) she asked "Does anyone else want to go on my date?" because she's scared of heights. That also was not taken well by the rest of the girls.

Here's the thing. Jubilee is clearly an analytical person and has dealt with a lot in her life. She doesn't necessarily know the "right" way to act in this situation and so she's coping the best she can. The date turned out to be really great, Ben is super intrigued by her and she opened up to him about the survivors guilt that she feels being the only living member she knows of in her bloodline. Her family died in Haiti which is why she hasn't been back.

She ended up getting the date rose, which none of the other girls expected.

Didn't get dates this week: Becca, Caila, JoJo (but it's cool because they are all solid)

Cocktail Party Notes

At the beginning of the cocktail party Ben informed the ladies that two family friends had died the previous day in a plane crash. He wanted them to know because he was upset and it would impact the way he interacted with them.

To no one's surprise, Olivia took him first. But instead of consoling him, she jumps right into how she has insecurities. I think she was going to tell him about the other girls making fun of her toes, but instead talked about bloggers writing about her cankles and started to cry. He did not appreciate this. He was upset about his family friends and the last thing he wanted to do was console her about her cankles.

Amanda and Jubilee made a point to ask him how he was doing and try to make him feel better. Unfortunately since Jubilee already had a rose the other girls went in to mean girl mode and hated her on principle for giving him a massage which "was his favorite thing".

These girls went a little far in hating on Jubilee. When she walked into the room and said hi, they turned around and left. Then they said that she was secluding herself when she went and sat alone. She was pretty quite but I think she was probably just saddened by Ben's news and could 100% relate so she was melancholy. Somehow this combined with Jubilee's attitude before the date upset Amber and she decided to confront Jubilee (and also mock her to the other girls). Which made Jubilee upset and she went upstairs to be alone. Ben caught wind that she was upset and went up to see what was wrong and then Amber came up to clear things up and basically attacked Jubilee in front of Ben. That ended with Ben defending Jubilee which I'm sure was not what any of the girls wanted. Amber was lucky she already had a rose because after that stunt he probably wouldn't have given it to her.

After all of that Ben looked exhausted. He sat on the couch and said "The drama is over" and then came Lace. Lace asked if she could speak with him and then walked outside in tears. Outside she told Ben that she was ashamed of how she had represented herself so far and that she had a lot of work to do on herself before she could be in a relationship and that he deserved better so she decided to go home. Which was actually super mature of her.

At the rose ceremony, Olivia received the final rose. She took that to mean that Ben knew that she could handle it, I took that to mean that she rubbed him the wrong way with her cankle whine and he wanted to let her know she screwed up.

Out this week: Lace (left on her own), Shushana, Jami

My front runners: Lauren B., JoJo (even though she was kind of mean this week), Caila, Becca, Amanda

Slipping in the ranks: Olivia

Next week we get the first travels of the season when Ben takes the girls to Vegas! Looks like Becca is going to get a date so we can see where that's going!

Until next week everyone!

Bachelor Blog: Bachelor High & Scientific Experiments (Week 2)

It's the second week of Bachelor Ben's journey to find love, so we're in the midst of dates with a ton of girls who are all trying to be friends but super jealous of each other. Also, the dumb competition based dates. But before I get in to the nitty gritty I just want to say that I am super happy that we got an entire episode with NO to be continued cliff hanger. Yay!

"Let's Learn How to Love" - Bachelor High

Group Date: Jackie, LB, Lauren H., Becca, Amber, Mandi, JoJo, Jubilee, Jennifer and Lace

On this date Ben took the ladies to a high school, dubbed Bachelor High with Principal Chris Harrison, to compete in a few games. They competed in teams of two until the last two had to do hurdles to win the honor of being Ben's Homecoming Queen. Things of note during the competition 1. Lace forgot about "communication" and lost the first round, to the horror of her partner Jubilee; 2. Team JoJo and Becca had an embarrassing geography moment when they had to find the state shape and location of Indiana. They put it sideways around where Pennsylvania should be. The winners of the games were Amber and Mandi, but Mandi smoked Amber on the hurdles and won Homecoming Queen. Yeah, I know this all sounds super stupid. It was fun though.

During the evening portion of the date we got to see one-on-one time with Becca, Jennifer, Lace, Jubilee and JoJo. This was pretty much the only camera time that Becca got this week but Ben said she's cute, kind and easy to be around so she's obviously solid. Ben went in for kisses with a few of ladies (Jennifer, Jubilee and JoJo). Lace rubbed everyone the wrong way by taking a second turn with Ben because she incorrectly presumed a kiss was coming during the first session and wanted to get her chance. Unfortunately, she just came off crazier and got no kiss.

JoJo was obviously the girl Ben was looking to get some quality time with because he took her to his "special location" on the roof. Later he gave her the date rose! (Psst - JoJo is my favorite so far).

A One-On-One with Two Extras

Date: Caila
Extras: Kevin Hart & Ice Cube

For the one-on-one date Ben let Chris Harrison do the planning, which is always risky. Chris recruited Kevin Hart and Ice Cube who decided to take Ben and Caila on the perfect cheap date. They took off in a classic car for a "Ride Along" (no pun intended indeed). It started off cute when Ben stopped for a flower salesman on the side of the road to get Caila a bouquet, then took a turn for the cheap with a visit to the liquor store (where Ice Cube wanted Ben to buy hard liquor and condoms), and then to a hot tub store where they took a dip with a "naked" Kevin Hart.

Caila was a good sport and was rewarded with an actual romantic date with Ben in the evening. They had great, normal date conversation and asked each other really good get to know you questions. Ben likes that Caila is fun and bubbly but also has depth. Basically they are just super cute together. On the way home from the date they stopped at a theater and got a private concert by one of Ben's favorite artists, Amos Lee, and danced to Ben's favorite song while smooching it up. Very promising start to their relationship.

"Are We a Perfect Match?" - Love Lab Chemistry

Ben giving Olivia a sniff.
Group Date: Emily, Sam, Olivia, Haley, Amanda, and Shushana

This was a really tense and awkward date. Ben took the girls to see a scientist who did some tests regarding compatibility based on physical reactions. First, the girls were shown pictures to see if they looked more at Ben vs. other guys. Next was a smell test where the girls had to get sweaty then Ben put on a blind fold and smelled them to see who's scent he liked more. Unfortunately during this experiment Ben said that Sam smelled "sour". In the final test they used thermal energy to see how their body temperature reacted in different "close" poses. After all of this Olivia scored the highest (in the 75th percentile) and poor Sour Sam scored the lowest.

Neither Ben or Olivia were surprised by her high score because they are obviously very attracted to each other. Unfortunately for Olivia, this in combination with the first impression rose last week, and the date rose on this date put a huge target on her back with the other girls. Well, that and her over confident attitude around the others. In the words of Chris Jenner, Olivia needs to "slow her roll".

Ben took some time during the evening to try to make Sam feel better about the "sour" thing. He smelled her again and said she smelled like passion fruit.  He also got a chance to learn about Amanda's two daughters.

Cocktail Party Notes

Poor Lace - she came off even crazier. It's pretty clear she has some insecurity but is trying to present confidence. Either way, she's not adjusting to this situation very well.

Even though Lauren B. didn't get a date this week, Ben made sure to get some QT with her as well and even gave her a gift! He had a picture of them from the first night printed up and gave it to her in the same spot where they were sitting in the picture. This was a pretty romantic gesture and Ben obviously really likes her. You can also tell that he's feeling her out to see if she likes him as much as he likes her. It's pretty cute. It looks like Lauren B. gets a one-on-one next week so we'll see how this progresses!

Ben also wanted to take a minute to make Amanda feel comfortable. They made rose hair clips for her daughters. She's basically the cutest. I don't think she will win but I think she'll go far and could even be The Bachelorette in the future.

Lastly, I just want to have a short vent about Amber. Amber is being super passive and really annoying. She's constantly complaining about girls getting "extra" time when she has not had any time with him. Well guess what Amber? Those girls who are taking initiative and getting their time with Ben are going to make it further than you. So basically the only conversation Amber has had with Ben was at the cocktail party on the first night, even though SHE GOT A GROUP DATE THIS WEEK and was the ONLY one not to seek him out for a conversation this week at the cocktail party. Seriously? Take a lesson from Olivia, you have to go after what you want! Luck for Amber, LB decided to leave on her own, so Ben had an extra rose this week and she got it. Step it up Amber!
"The Mouth"

Out this week: Mandi, Sam, LB (left on her own), Girl I didn't recognize (turned out to be Samantha)

My front runners: JoJo, Lauren B., Caila, Amanda and Olivia (aka "The Mouth")
Others to watch for: Jubilee, Leah and Becca

Next week it looks like Olivia is going to cause more drama and Jubilee has a melt down. So something to look forward to!

Until next week everyone!

Bachelor Blog: The Bachelor Ben!

Guys, I'm so excited! I think my favorite shows know just when I need a pick me up because the return of The Bachelor is just what I needed this week! I'm so glad the season has started because all the promos have been awful. "It's Raining Ben" and "A Perfect Ben" are some of the nerdiest puns I've ever heard. So, thankfully that nonsense is over and we can get down to business!

First things first, let's talk about our new Bachelor! Ben was my favorite last season, if I were the Bachelorette and he was on my season, I would have picked him but Kaitlyn's not me so we're lucky and get to have a whole season of him!

We all know how the first night goes, a bunch of girls whooping it up in the limos, being besties, having awkward first interactions, then getting white girl wasted and turning jealous when the first impression rose pops up. Before we get to the first impression rose, here are my first impressions:

Tiara's bio video was a little weird with her chickens, but she seemed totally normal and cute when she met Ben. Sadly, she was the only one among my first "good" impressions that did not get a rose last night. Sorry Tiara, looks like you don't have to choose between your chickens and Ben after all.

Mandi, the girl who dressed as the first impression rose and gave Ben a dental exam is bat shit. I could tell from the first time she came on screen in her bio video. Speaking of bio videos, how do they decide which girls get a bio?

Lace is legit crazy. And she is super threatened by Becca. Either that or she is in love with Becca who is apparently the only girl there who is as good looking or better looking than Lace and poses the only possible threat to Lace's relationship with Ben. Also, I think it was a little obvious for Lace to wear a lace dress... she should have worn satin. More on Lace in a second.

And since we're talking about Becca... what does everyone think of Becca and Amber coming back? I'm a little over both of them and Becca is somehow rubbing me the wrong way but I actually think Becca and Ben could be a good couple so I think she'll probably stick around for a good long while. Amber? Not so much. Don't really care.

So, I know it's early but here are my favorites so far:

Caila - Fellow software sales rep, she and Ben hit it off right away and she is SO stinking cute! When she first came out of the limo she jumped into Ben's arms. See what I mean about cute?
Olivia - Got the first impression rose, is super fun and cute. So basically she's my new Bachelor friend and I've already started following her on Twitter. But seriously, she and Ben had very natural conversations and seem like they have fun together, hence the first impression rose. Seems like she's going to be the source of some drama in the house and that the other girls will end up thinking she's full of it so it's unlikely that she'll be the one in the end but solid for a while I think.
JoJo - She's my actual favorite. I think she's super real and quirky. I mean she wore a unicorn mask when she came out of the limo so I obviously love her (#unicorn).
Amanda - Single mom of two (actually the only mom on the show this season), she's tiny and pretty. Basically your standard Bachelor front runner. She'll probably be the next Bachelorette.
Lauren B. - Another one that seemed like she had a good initial connection with Ben and probably the most likely Lauren to make it. Oh yeah, there are like a million Lauren's this season.

I put a maybe next to Leah, looks like she gets punched in the face at some point so we'll see what that's about. And I'm sure Becca is safe.

The biggest drama of the first night was Lace and her drunken jealousy. Unfortunately, Ben decided to keep her around, giving her the final rose of the night. And then she confronted him about not looking at her and confused the hell out of him. He'll probably chock it up to drunkenness and give her another chance but I have a feeling she's going to be super posessive a la Courtney or Michelle Money (both were villians in their seasons, although Michelle Money has completely redeemed herself, she is amazing and I love her).

So that's pretty much it for the first night, in conclusion I'd like to leave you with some of my favorite tweets from the night, because my Twitter feed is basically full of former Bachelor peeps:

I agree.

In reference to crazy Mandi and the dental exam.

How did I miss the crazy gluten girl?

Ashley Spivey is my new favorite Twitter commentator, well besides JP.

Another example of how Ashley is awesome.

I agree with Catherine, Ben is wonderful!
Until next week everyone, I have a feeling it's going to be a great season!

Bachelorette Blog - The Final Rose

Another season of The Bachelorette has come to a close and I have all the details from an evening of meeting Kaitlyn's family, the last dates with each guy and after the final rose. I'm going to break this down by show segment so forgive the back and forth!

Meeting the Parents

Nick
Kaitlyn fills her family in on the fact that Shawn and Nick hate each other, and that it partly stems from her taking things too far with Nick on their Dublin date. She's obviously very close with her family, or not an idiot and realizes that they'll see it on the show regardless but Nick is surprised that she would disclose that info to her parents and becomes pretty nervous upon meeting them! It's nice to see him caring so much and I really do think the show did a good job of not making Nick the bad guy this season. Kaitlyn's mom was understandably skeptical about Nick having seen him on his previous season but after talking with him they both end up crying and she gives him her blessing if he wants to propose to Kaitlyn. He also got the go-ahead from Kaitlyn's dad and the whole family really seemed to like him. In fact I think her sister said something along the lines of "I enjoyed Nick and Kaitlyn together."

Shawn
Shawn was super nervous to meet her family because he knows how important it is and that if they don't approve of him Kaitlyn could never choose him. He shouldn't have worried because they loved him practically immediately. They thought everything he said was super genuine, and he did a great job of conveying his feelings about Kaitlyn to the group. Her mom again had some reservations, she asked him about jealousy and in particular what happened with Nick. But Shawn easied her mind by telling her that he thinks everything that happened made his relationship with Kaitlyn stronger and that if they can get through all that, they can get through anything. Kaitlyn's sister who liked Nick, very quickly became Team Shawn and told Kaitlyn that she can see the way Kaitlyn is around him and can tell that he is good for her. Shawn invited both parents to sit down together when he asked for their blessing and they gave it 1,000%.

Next up were the final dates

No seriously, they're not friends.
Nick
This date went really really well. Kaitlyn said she felt like their lives could very easily fit together. She was looking for clarity on the date because her feelings for both guys were "too strong". All that being said, she did seem very reserved on the date, probably because there's still Shawn. She told Nick that she was very happy that he took the chance to come on the show and find out what could happen between them and leaving the date she said that she felt in love and that he could be the guy for her. This is very confusing because it seemed like from the family dates that she was leaning more toward Shawn. Very clever editing Bachelorette producers, very clever indeed. Got to keep us guessing!

Shawn
As opposed to Nick's date, this one is very awkward. The beginning part of their date they didn't know what to talk about and Kaitlyn knew she was making it weird for him. She was super nervous because this was the last date and she's thinking ahead to the next day when she was going to have a proposal and have to break someone's heart in the same day. Needless to say this made Shawn question things (of course), he thought if the date continued to go poorly he would have to reconsider proposing because maybe she was giving him the vibe on purpose to let him know she wasn't going to pick him in the end. However, on the evening portion of the date they made up for the weirdness of the day, spending a lot of time talking about how they would cope the next few months while the show aired and if Shawn would be jealous watching back everything that happened. At the end of the night Shawn gave Kaitlyn a gift, a memory jar full of mementos from all their dates and time together over their 2 month courtship. Kaitlyn left feeling relieved because everything was "perfect".

Rejection & The Final Rose

Kaitlyn was having a very hard time because she knew that both of the guys were in love with her and she really struggled with the fact that she was going to have to blindside someone. According to typical show structure, generally the first guy out of the limo is the one getting rejected, and poor Nick was the first one. He had been really excited because in his mind he thought that if Kaitlyn was going to let him go, she would have done it earlier in the day and not let him get to the point of almost proposing, which unfortunately she did. He was about to get on one knee when she stopped him. He was obviously very hurt saying "You don't feel the same way I do, and you don't love me otherwise you would have a ring on your finger." He left feeling shocked, foolish and like the world's biggest joke.

Next Shawn arrived and Kaitlyn was super excited to see him. He gave the typical proposal speech which sounds a lot like marriage vows (seriously all they need is an officiate and they could just get married on the spot). He called her his best friend and partner in crime, and then finally they got engaged and it was very cute. Yay for Kaitlyn, Shawn is a good guy and thank goodness after all he put up with over this season they can finally be together!

After the Final Rose

Happy couple on the cover of People!
We started right away with a first look at the happy couple together, which was a nice way to start. Often they make the couple wait until midway through the episode so I'm glad they got to be excited right away! Then the majority of the after show was dedicated to Nick. Chris Harrison talked to Nick one-on-one, then they forced Nick and Shawn to have a sit down, then finally Nick got to talk to Kaitlyn. All of these segments seemed really rushed and like they kept cutting Nick off when he was trying to talk, which I didn't like. Also, it seemed like Kaitlyn was holding back a lot with Nick. I'm not sure if this was just out of respect for Shawn or if since the show ended she's had a change of opinion on the whole Nick situation. A couple things are clear, first Nick and Shawn will never be friends even though they both agreed that their behavior on the show was immature. Second, Nick is not a bad guy. Even when he's coming across kind of short or like a jerk, it's because he's hurt and I actually think he was really mature and I'm really sad for him that it didn't work out but hopefully with his reputation restored he can find a good person in the end to be with!

The show left off with Kaitlyn and Shawn looking forward to getting to be normal, finally! No announcements on what their next steps are or on who the next Bachelor will be, although there have been rumors about both Bens (Ben H. or Ben Z.) from this season, both of which would be great Bachelors.

So that's it for this season, I guess I'll just have to find something else to write about until The Bachelor begins in January. It's unlikely I'll write anything about Bachelor in Paradise, even though you know I'll be watching every week! It's just so awesome.

Later friends!

Bachelorette Blog: Before the Final Rose

Hi friends, I hope you are all looking forward to an epic Bachelorette finale tonight! Before the final rose is (or isn't) doled out I wanted to give my final two cents about what I think may happen tonight.

There have been a lot of rumors that Kaitlyn ends up with neither of the guys. I think this is plausible, at least during the regular season. This does not take in to account the "After The Final Rose" show. Going in to this week, I think that Kaitlyn is completely and utterly torn between Shawn and Nick. She may decide at the last minute that she's not ready to choose one of them and reject both proposals. I don't think there is much doubt that the guys are going to propose. That being said, it is possible that after deciding she wasn't ready to be engaged to one of them, after the show wrapped production she could have pursued a relationship with one or both of them to continue to figure out who she wants to be with.

I know there have been rumors surrounding a certain quickly deleted SnapChat that Kaitlyn posted near the start of the season which leads me to believe that she may be with Shawn in the end. Either way I do think that is is unlikely that Nick ends up with Kaitlyn. Perhaps the show will completely shock me, but that rarely happens.

We'll see what unfolds tonight and I'll be blogging all the details tomorrow! Happy Bachelorette Finale Day!

Bachelorette Blog - Overnights & Families (Week...nevermind)

So I was traveling for work and couldn't watch The Bachelorette as it aired but I just got caught up so let's get down to it.  I know the first part of the episode was about Kaitlyn's overnights with Ben and Shawn but I'm going to gloss over that a little bit because I really just want to get in to the two remaining guys and meeting their families.

First things first, Kaitlyn had a great date with Ben, he's a great guy and seems very different from Nick and Shawn. He's not in to drama at all, doesn't even ask her questions about the other guys because he's focused on them. Basically, he's wonderful. Her date with Shawn started out great, they got back to the fun part of their relationship and just got to have a normal fun day together. Kaitlyn challenged Shawn to a little truth or dare, and being the manly man that he is he chose dare so she dared him to streak on the golf course. When he did, she stole his clothes and he chased her around the course naked. The best part there was when he said "I've always wanted a black box on TV." He certainly got his wish! The second part of the date they did need to talk through some more serious things, but bringing up Nick and the fact that he had talked to Kaitlyn about "concerns" toward Shawn just pissed Shawn off and they decided to take that conversation off camera.

The next morning, Nick met Shawn outside the cottages and wanted to talk to him which Shawn was not super open to. That conversation was about as constructive as the last. What I find interesting is the way the show is playing more toward Nick in these situations. Every time they get together they make it seem like Nick is trying to be reasonable and Shawn is a hot head. I just thought that was interesting.

In the last official rose ceremony of the season Kaitlyn lets Ben go (she takes it very hard). Honestly, if I were the Bachelorette, I would have picked Ben but I'm not Kaitlyn and it's been obvious for a long time that Nick and Shawn are her top 2 guys so I wasn't shocked here, but I was sad to see him go. I was hopeful for him.

Okay now on to the meat of the episode, also just a side note - they don't actually go to the guys hometowns but bring both families to Utah to meet there, and the families have no idea it's down to the top 2 yet.

Nick's Family:
Before Nick brings Kaitlyn to his family, they have some alone time and he tells her that he is in love with her which makes her very happy.

Nick's family is VERY concerned about Nick. They were really worried about him coming back on the show because they saw what it did to him last time and how heartbroken he was. Here's the thing about Nick, I remember this from last season too, when he is with his family you can tell that he is a real person who is actually a pretty decent guy. He is very close with his family and I think we see more of who he really is around them than any other time and he seems really great. I also think that this time around the show is trying hard not to play him as the bad guy. They beat that drum pretty hard the first go round but after seeing how emotional his family got about him coming back to the show and his interactions with them I think he really does love Kaitlyn and that he is there for her and no other reason. He's convinced me, I wanted to be skeptical but I believe him.

Watching Kaitlyn with his family and her reaction to him telling her he is in love with her made me think he was the one. She said at the rose ceremony that she is in love (with someone) and this whole interaction made me think it was him. Until she met Shawn's family...

Shawn's Family:
Going in to meeting Shawn's family, Kaitlyn is very excited! All of their interactions were spot on, she meshed very well with the family and it seemed like all their conversations were about how Shawn is the one and has been since the beginning. In fact, Shawn's sisters are very confident that the next time they see him he will be engaged. Everything when perfectly.

After meeting the family they go back to Kaitlyn's room to talk over the day and how things went and Shawn tells Kaitlyn that he is in love with her and has been for a long time. Here is where trouble in paradise starts to emerge. Kaitlyn's reaction to him telling her he is in love with her was not as enthusiastic as when Nick told her. This could be because Nick got there first and when Shawn said it she realized she was going to break Nick's heart, or when Shawn said it she didn't feel it as strongly as when Nick did.

This is how we leave Kaitlyn, she's a mess.
After leaving Shawn, Kaitlyn gets very emotional. I really do think that she is in love with both of them. She said that when Shawn told her he loved her she was "so happy" but I think it hit her that one of these guys is going to get his heart broken and she doesn't want to do that. I'm less concerned about her reaction because I do think that when he said it it made the reality of the situation sink in for her. I think if the guys were reversed in order and Shawn told her first she would have been very happy and then gotten emotional after Nick said it. I think she's really overwhelmed because the guys are so different and she loves them both.

Basically, both these guys love her. In the end, she'll end up engaged to one of them and it will just come down to whether or not they can make it work after the show. I'm really not sure which way this is going to go. Based on tonight alone, I'd give it 51/49 to Shawn but it's just so close at this point. I will say that I don't think she would have put up with all the ups and downs between them throughout the season if she didn't want to be with him, but I also don't think that she would have invited Nick to stay when he showed up, and then continued to let him stay even though she sees how much it bothers Shawn if she didn't really want to be with him too. It's going to come down to the wire with this one.

I am nervous for Nick, I think he will take it harder in the end if it's not him (like I said, he's convinced me).

Next week is Men Tell All. I probably wont do a recap of that one because it's not really worthwhile. It's entertaining to watch but nothing groundbreaking is going to come from that, all the drama (Nick & Shawn) is still on the show. Although I am very curious to see if JJ and Clint ever worked it out.

So in 2 weeks it's the final rose! Looking forward to seeing how this shakes out!

Bachelorette Blog - It's the Shawn & Nick Show (Week 8ish)

Okay first things first, The Bachelorette aired at 12:05am this morning because of stupid baseball. I turned on the TV, prepared for an amazing 2 hours of drama and was foiled by America’s “favorite” pass time. Bleh. Needless to say I was not happy. I imagined myself getting up early to watch before I came to work, not sure why I thought I would do that. It would really say something about my instability as a person if I was able to get up to watch The Bachelorette at 5:00 in the morning when I can almost never force myself out of bed for any other reason at that hour. Thankfully, I’m not as crazy as all that (huge relief for me) and I did not wake up early to watch. I did catch up this morning and finally it feels like the show might be back on track, I’m so glad that Chris Harrison stepped in to force Kaitlyn in the right direction.

One-on-One Date with Ben H.
Kaitlyn was sad about the past week and Ben could tell but he helped pull her out of her funk. She said that he seems like husband material and asked if she was wife material and what that means to him to which he said aside from physical attraction he looks for joy/hope and being better and happier together even when times are tough. Good answers Ben, I think I like you.  Kaitlyn’s idea of husband materials was someone not giving up on her when times get tough.  He’s falling in love with her but he needs to tell her about his biggest fear (that he is unlovable), which blows her mind because she feels like he is a very lovable person that she could and is falling in love with.

When discussing the fantasy suite he mentions that he feels like it’s more than just sex and wants to spend the night talking to her, so she asks him if he is a virgin. What a weird thing to ask, just because he doesn’t want the whole fantasy suite to be “about sex” she thinks he’s a virgin. In case you were wondering, he is not.

Group Date – 3 on 1
A group date!? I thought she was supposed to have a bunch of one on ones to help her decide which 3 guys to take in to overnights. I guess I misunderstood the convoluted new rules.

Shawn is first up and they are trying to get back on track after the rough cocktail party last week where Kaitlyn said they needed to take a step back. Kaitlyn is preparing herself to tell Shawn about what happened with Nick because she realizes that Shawn questions her a lot and has insecurities and trust issues so she knows she needs to be honest with him. Just when she is about to tell him, Nick interrupts them.

Kaitlyn asks Nick how he feels about what happened and he says he doesn’t regret it and feels good but can tell that she has some reservations. She tells him that she thinks it was too fast, but then of course he uses his conversational wizardry to help smooth things over for her. This guy is so manipulative. He might be the best “actor” to ever be on this show.

Next up Joe gets some time with Kaitlyn and she asks him if he would be ready to be engaged after the show. He gets super romantic with her and tells her that he’s in love with her. She doesn’t respond very well, obviously flattered but she’s really not feeling it and decides that she needs to “address it immediately”.  She tells him that they are not on the same page and he completely shuts down, kind of turning in to a jerk asking her “what he should do now” and makes it really awkward for her. She just wanted to hug him and say good bye and he gets pretty pissed at her so she just walks away.

Kaitlyn doesn’t feel right about giving out the rose during the date so she tells Nick that she will see him at the rose ceremony and tells Shawn that they need more time together so she will see him later that night. Nick doesn’t feel good about this, he feels like Kaitlyn is choosing Shawn over him. He knows he came in late and has had less time with Kaitlyn and feels like he needed that time with her.

One on one time with Shawn
Shawn thinks they need a night to relax from the stress of the week, little does he know what is about to happen. Kaitlyn tells him that she does just want to hang out and have a good time but there is something on her mind that she hasn’t talked to anyone else about, and only wants to tell him because she wants to be honest with him and doesn’t want him to find out later. She tell him that it went too far with Nick on their one on one date in Dublin and that they had sex. Shawn is visibly upset when she tells him this. He asks if she regrets it and she said that she felt guilt and couldn’t stop thinking about what it would do to their relationship. He excuses himself to take a minute to regroup, basically it seems like he just doesn’t want to look at her in that moment.

When he returns from the bathroom (where he was “so tense he couldn’t even piss” – not sure why that was necessary to include in the show), he thanks her for her honesty and tells her that he is upset about it, but doesn’t want to make it about Nick and that at the end of the day he is there for her and he will man up and try to get past it. He says, “What am I gonna do? Storm out of here? No, because I want you.” He thinks she is worth all of it, otherwise he wouldn’t still be there. He actually handled it with her WAY better than I expected him to in that moment.

Instead of putting it out of his head like he wants to he does what he always does and festers on it, and the more he thinks about it the more he questions whether or not he can deal with it because he feels like if she trusted him she would let Nick go. Of course. More drama. He can’t just let it go, why would he think he could it’s not like him at all.

Rose Ceremony
Chris Harrison announces that Kaitlyn knows what she wants to do and that there will be no cocktail party so they will go right in to the rose ceremony. Jared is the only one who didn’t get a date before this, so obviously he is worried. Kaitlyn tries to give Shawn the first rose and he says “I need to talk to you.” Not a good sign. He doesn’t understand why she would tell him he is “the one” and then go ahead and sleep with “the other guy”. She says that telling him that he was the one  halfway through was a mistake. She is here to explore other relationships because at the end of it she never will again, at the end she hopes to find her husband and he will be the one forever. She understands that she had no business telling him he was the one because it wasn’t fair to him since there were other relationships happening. She loves his honesty and that he cares so much, but he needs to let her figure things out for herself and asks him if at the end of this he will be able to trust her. She doesn’t feel like he trusts her and he has to if it’s going to work out. This was maybe the most real and honest “relationship-like” conversation I’ve seen on this show this season, maybe ever on the show. He does eventually accept the rose. Man, if he is not the one in the end, they have been through a lot for nothing.

Next roses go to – Ben and Nick (DANG IT!). So I’m not that surprised because the show wants there to be a lot of drama and keeping Nick around pretty much guarantees that Shawn will be that source of drama they need. Also, in the previews Shawn confronts Nick so it was obvious he was going to stay. But I’m very sad for Jared. He is a great guy and left in such a nice way. What a little sweetie. This was the most upset Kaitlyn has been yet letting someone go.

So it feels like it should be the end of the episode, because Jared leaves in the limo and normally that would be the end but there’s still like 15 minutes left!!!

Moving right along we jump right in to the overnight dates, starting with Nick.

Kaitlyn is trying to figure out if there is more than just passion with Nick and if she sees a life with him. They share some stories about growing up and she feels really comfortable with him and normal and starts to realize there is more to their relationship. They hang out in a pub and strike up some conversation with the locals and she can’t really understand them with their accents which is pretty funny. She asks if any of them are married and one of the old guys says he’s been married for 36 years so she asks for his advice and he says the key to a lasting marriage is trust which Nick identifies with. Weird that Nick would have experience with trust issues.

Later, Nick starts talking smack about Shawn, because he is threatened by him so obviously he’s going to try to make him look bad. So Kaitlyn turns around and confronts him about how all of the other guys have only expressed concern over him and no one else in the house so why would no one else have anything bad to say about Shawn, it did kind of feel like she was being a little protective of Shawn. She seems to understand why Shawn says things about Nick and Nick says things about Shawn because they are jealous and these things just really don’t matter so this passes pretty quickly.

Finally, they head over to the suite and Kaitlyn feels like she might be falling in love with him too. Lucky Nick, he gets a SECOND “off camera” night with Kaitlyn. Gross. But apparently they spent a lot of time talking as well and getting to know each other better, so that’s good I guess. I think for the first time ever they show “the couple” hanging out in the suite “the next morning”. They were just chilling, eating breakfast together. Dang it, they seemed so normal like a real couple. Why is Nick always so convincing!!! I don’t trust that guy but unfortunately he’s good at making it seem like he’s decent and normal. WTH!

Isn't he cute? Don't you want him to have a chance?
Confrontation
We end this episode with Shawn all up in his head again and deciding that he’s going to confront Nick about the situation and his intentions for being on the show. They basically just fight, it’s pretty clear that they don’t like each other and probably never will. In the previews we see that Kaitlyn is very upset about the tension between Shawn and Nick, hopefully one of these guys goes next week and Ben H. gets a shot at the final rose!

FYI – Update on Britt and Brady, they are going to try long distance. In case anyone cares.

Oh yeah, wanted to give you a heads up that I’m traveling for work next week and won’t be able to watch or blog about The Bachelorette until Wednesday! Sad face, sorry in advance for the delay, I hope you won’t be too sad.

Bachelorette Blog: All Kinds of All Over the Place (Week 7ish)

What Kaitlyn looks like most of the time now.
So this show has completely abandoned their traditional format so I'm doing the same with my blog. Honestly, the first hour to hour and a half of this episode basically nothing happened. There was one date and then the rest of the show was pretty much all about Shawn.

Started out with a two on one with Joe and JJ. Pretty much nothing happened here except she finally let JJ go. Honestly, they had some discussions but I don't even care, they seem irrelevant at this point. One thing to note is that she didn't give Joe the rose right away and wanted to spend more time with him before giving it to him, I thought she ended up giving him a rose but I'm not sure because of the new rules which I'll get in to soon.  This was maybe the least eventful two-on-one date in the history of the show.

Okay now on to Shawn. We start with the producers telling Kaitlyn that Shawn is on his way over, to which she rolls her eyes. At first I thought this was a really bad sign until I realized that she was just scared that he had finally found out about Nick and was coming to tell her that he was going to leave. I can't believe she still hasn't told the guys about this. So basically, earlier on Kaitlyn had told Shawn in private (off screen time) that he is the one, which put a bunch of pressure on their relationship. Actually knowing that he's the one has made him freak out and the more reassurance she gives him, the harder it is for him. Meanwhile, the more he questions her, the more she questions him. Seriously, this may not be in the cards. Later, she tells Shawn that she thinks it was a mistake for her to tell him that so early and that she doesn't want to diminish the other relationships that she's making so they need to "take a step back."

Then they had a rose ceremony and I became super pissed. HOW IN THE HELL IS CHRIS CUPCAKE STILL THERE AND SHE SENT BEN Z. HOME!?!? Ben Z. should have made it to top 4 but that's out the window now too so whatever Bachelorette, whatever.

On the way to their next stop Kaitlyn takes the opportunity to have a road trip with Jared like a little mini one-on-one while the rest of the guys take a bus. They stop at the Blarney stone and kiss it for luck, it was a good normal date which she really needed in the face of all the craziness that is this week. After the road trip she's feeling refreshed and good and then Chris Harrison shows up to drop the boom.

ANOTHER GD FORMAT CHANGE!
Okay so this season has been a hot mess, the top guys have been apparent since the beginning because they are getting all the on screen and off screen time with Kaitlyn. Chris points out that she has had a lot of "off screen time" with those few guys (namely Nick and Shawn) and that she needs to play a little catch up with the other guys. So here's what they're doing:

1. She will get one-on-one dates with the guys left who she hasn't had as much time with, Chris encouraged her to let them go during the dates if she's really not feeling it to save them from the humiliation of the rose ceremony.
2. "This week" (aka next week's episode) she will need to narrow the field down to just 3 guys. There are 6 now so she has to let 3 guys go.
3. When she narrows it down to the 3 guys, they will go immediately in to Fantasy Suite dates so that she can catch up on "alone time" - unless of course 2 of the 3 guys are Nick and Shawn in which case she'll just get even more alone time with them.
4. Only the top 2 guys will get hometown dates.

Guys, this is a huge deal. It is SO different from any other season. I actually think it's probably for the best but it completely blew my mind.

They jumped right in to the first one-on-one date with Chris Cupcake. He is super excited and keeps trying to kiss her and she is super awkward and really not feeling it. Then she takes Harrison's advice and lets him go. He breaks down on the cliffs edge and fake sobs like a little girl. He was seriously right on the edge of the cliff, I'm pretty sure the sound guy was preparing to have to catch him from attempting to throw himself over the edge.

So yeah, this episode was all kinds of all over the place. Here's what I think. Either the top 3 will be Nick, Shawn and one other (probably Jared) or she'll cut her loses with Shawn (or he'll elect to leave when she FINALLY tells them about having sex with Nick) and it will be Nick, Jared, and Ben H., OR neither Nick or Shawn will be in the top 3 and it will be Ben H. Jared and Joe, which wouldn't be the worst thing. I'm still pretty pissed about Ben Z. but so it goes.

It's so hard to predict what is going to happen, which I guess should be a good thing right? Their keeping us on our toes. So we'll see what happens next week. I really hope they get on a somewhat more consistent episode format moving forward, hopefully next week they will take the time for Kaitlyn to fill in the guys about what happened with Nick, have her final one-on-ones before choosing the top 3 and then end with a rose ceremony so that the final couple episodes will be more traditional in format.

Until next week everyone!

Bachelorette Blog: SCANDAL (Week 6)

Sorry this post is a bit late, there was no fitting in blogging yesterday but I'm on it this morning! First things first, we left off last week with Ian being a royal jerk and Kaitlyn about to give him a piece of her mind, which she did and then he was on his merry way home telling the cameras all about how if he were the Bachelor women would be desperate for a chance to be on the show. Ah well, c'est la vie. After Ian's departure, Kaitlyn spent a little time with Nick getting cheered up and then we went in to a rose ceremony. The other guys who left us this week were Justin and Joshua. Poor Joshua, we saw this coming, he had little to no romantic connection with Kaitlyn and left with that horrible haircut!

We also got one of those super awkward moments when Joshua is crying at the camera and he hears the remaining group cheering because they are going to Dublin. Always unfortunate when the guys leaving have to hear the other guys celebrating. But hey, they're going to Dublin and that's pretty exciting!

So instead of sending a date card for the first date in Dublin, Kaitlyn visited the guys at their hotel and then whisked Nick off on the one-on-one date. The other guys (in particular Shawn) were not pleased.

One-on-One - SCANDAL (hence the title of the blog this week)

So this is weird picture...
Kaitlyn and Nick just kind of hung around in Dublin, walking the streets and in the park like you would on a regular vacation together. I liked that their date was so normal and it was really funny seeing Kaitlyn freak out again over birds. For serious, she spazzed out over the pigeons being near her and advised Nick on how to act so they didn't start flying around them. During this date Kaitlyn and Nick were "all over each other", to use Nick's words. They are very touchy feely and obviously have very good chemistry. In fact, Kaitlyn said her only concern is that their chemistry may be "too passionate" if that's a thing.

So, Nick is already being positioned as the "bad guy", and now everyone is going to hate him a little more because he stayed the night in Kaitlyn's suite, and they were definitely not sleeping. I could have gone without the noises, I mean is it against the rules to turn off the mics when you're getting it on? It actually made me super uncomfortable. Then the next morning we see Nick taking his walk of shame (not looking a bit shameful) and Kaitlyn having an awkward balcony moment in which she is obviously talking out the situation with someone off camera but it just looks like she's a crazy person talking to herself. First she convinces herself that she's happy with the way the date ended up, then she slowly progresses to concern that Nick will say something to the guys (trust issues), and finally ending with a "What was I thinking, all of this is bad."

Let's just be clear, this kind of thing has probably happened on other seasons and it just wasn't shown like this in the past. In fact, it's pretty clear that most of the Bachelor/Bachelorettes have sex during the taping of the show, it's usually in the final weeks during the fantasy suites and this season it just happened a little earlier. Kaitlyn (as with most Bachelorettes) probably has her top 3 guys picked already and probably didn't feel like she was "cheating" on a large group of men. I honestly don't think this is a huge deal, other than I'm disappointed because I'm pretty sure Shawn is her guy and I don't know why she would do that to him, more on that in a minute.

Group Date - Kaitlyn is Dead

This was the weirdest concept for a date ever. Apparently in Ireland, wakes are a place for celebration and remembrance (which they should be), so Kaitlyn faked her death (badly since she kept laughing and talking in the tiny coffin they fashioned for her) and listened while all the guys on the group date (Tanner, Ben Z., Shawn, Jared, Ben H., and Chris) eulogized her. Very creepy. A few of the guys made up rhyming eulogies, Chris Cupcake wrote a song, and Ben H. was hilarious with his made up death story for Kaitlyn which of course involved birds. Ben Z. however asked to clear the room and delivered his privately, it was very heartfelt and sweet, although a little to serious and real for my taste. Later he told Kaitlyn that he had a hard time with the date given his past, dealing with his mother's passing and given that it's generally harder for him to open up to people, but he doesn't seem to have a problem opening up to Kaitlyn so that's good!

At the after party, Kaitlyn shared another moment with Jared and although Shawn is still brooding over Nick, he tries to forget that and shares some family pictures with Kaitlyn. Shawn feels pretty confident that he's going to get the date rose but unfortunately Kaitlyn chooses Jared and takes him off on some alone time where they dance together while The Cranberries play live for them (you know, typical real-life situations that The Bachelorette is famous for).

Back to Shawn. Shawn does not take Jared getting the rose well. He's constantly in his head about where he stands with Kaitlyn. Apparently she has told him that he is "the one" and that he just needs to be patient. This bodes well for him since every single Bachelorette has said that they know the one early on and they typically do give them an indication to just hang on for the ride. That being said, if she really does think Shawn is the one, I can't wrap my head around why she would sleep with Nick, I get that she was taken up in the moment but Shawn isn't the kind of guy who would take that lying down.

Freaking out that Shawn might leave.
Shaw decides he's going to go talk things out with Kaitlyn because he's seriously questioning whether he can handle this process (keep in mind, he doesn't even know yet about the Nick thing). When he gets to her room, Kaitlyn starts freaking out that he knows about what happened with Nick and that he will want to leave. Again, if she's so concerned that he will leave and she'll be "left with no one" in the end WHY would she do it in the first place. Whatever, I'm trying not to be judgy I just don't get it.

So next week: The Aftermath (oh and also the 2-on-1 which we missed out on this week because there was just TOO MUCH DRAMA to fit in to 2 hours, the 2-on-1 will be between Joe and JJ).

I'm ready to predict the top 4 - It's obvious that Shawn and Nick are currently her top guys, if Shawn can stick it out through this rough patch he'll definitely be there. The other two I think will be Jared and Ben Z.

Until next week!

Oh I almost forgot, we got another short glimpse of what's going on with Britt and Brady...is it just me or do all of these segments seem really scripted and unnatural? I guess that makes sense I guess because they aren't getting full time camera coverage but still.
