Here's what I think: Walking the Oscar Red Carpet in Style

This Sunday, the 83rd Annual Academy Awards will air on ABC, the climax of a great award season. Aside from the excitement of the awards and the recognition of the best film makers of the past year, I look forward to this night for one major reason - the fashion!

Watching the stars get all gussied up makes me wonder what I would wear if I were so luck to attend and walk that coveted red carpet. While, reviewing some of the runway shows I found exactly the kind of dress I would hope to wear to such an occasion.

  

These dresses from Ellie Saab are the epitome of Oscar appropriate fashion! I would wear the silver beaded dress exactly as is with a sleek up do, or a sleek long pony tail. The pink flower embellished dress I would also wear as is or in a bolder color like emerald green or royal blue. What's pretty about it is the flowers and it would look beautiful in any color but a bolder color would stand out on the red carpet and make it more fashion forward. With this dress, I would wear a wavy un-done up-do. 

To accessorize these gowns I would avoid a necklace, the dresses on their own are a statement which relieves the need of a statement piece of jewelry. I would pair a cuff bracelet, like the one below from Harry Winston; small earrings, like these from Tacori; and carry a sleek clutch like this one from Michael Khors.
